I was recommended this book by a friend at work, and when I realized that this was the author's first book I was skeptical. I usually don't buy a book by an unknown author, yet I felt like this one might be different. After purchasing, the shipping was speedy (received in 3 days) and I broke into this novel on my morning ride to work on the subway. I easily got through the first quarter of the book by lunch, and found that I wanted to read more after work. I finished the book in a short 3 days, but after reading it, I can honestly say that I have changed my opinion about buying from first time published authors. A good read all around.
